In advance of the NATO summit on 28-29 November 2006, Riga, on Friday 3 November Ambassador Ian Bond together with MEP and former Defence Minister Girts Valdis Kristovskis attended a NATO summit organisers’ event at Vilaka State Grammar School. Ambassador Bond delivered a short lecture on the contemporary role of NATO and participated in a debate about the forthcoming summit, defence and security issues and NATO together with Mr  Kristovskis.
