Baltic Pride 2009 (15/05/2009)

The British Embassy in Riga welcomes the Baltic Pride 2009 in Riga on 16 May. As an indication of the Embassy’s support, we co-sponsored a reception organised by Mozaika on 15 May and welcomed representatives of the organisers at the Embassy for tea on Monday 18 May.

The Embassy has also sponsored the translation of a guide on lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender people and their associated rights into the Latvian language. The guide is adapted from the FCO’s LGBT Toolkit. The UK embassies in Vilnius and Tallinn have also supported translations into Lithuanian and Estonian.
