How we can help
We assist people with the following services and advice, aiming for high customer service standards in providing all of them:
- Consular assistance or advice (usually for British citizens, but also for citizens of many other Commonwealth countries);
- Trade and investment services for businesses;
- Advice on the immigration requirements for travel or working in the UK [Word 176 KB, new window];
- Information about Britain – facts about the Government, the economy, national events or traditions.

If you are a British national who needs emergency assistance outside normal office hours you can contact our Duty Officer on telephone number (+371) 2922 1804). Examples of emergencies are if you've been arrested, are seriously injured or ill, someone has died or someone has gone missing.
If the Duty Officer does not consider your case to be an emergency, you will be asked to call back during office hours. A lost or stolen passport does not, in itself, constitute an emergency.
